HOW THE WFC PRIZE 2025 WORKS

The WFC Prize 2025 is designed to identify, nurture, and celebrate emerging talents in the global fashion industry. Divided into five meticulously crafted stages, the competition offers a fair, enriching, and transformative journey for all participants.

EACH STAGE BUILDS UPON THE PREVIOUS ONE, PROVIDING PARTICIPANTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO SHOWCASE THEIR SKILLS, RECEIVE FEEDBACK, AND GROW PROFESSIONALLY.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART

1. REGISTRATION AND PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION

Begin your journey by registering and submitting your portfolio. This stage ensures participants can demonstrate their unique talent and creativity in one of the following categories: Designer, Model, Photographer, Stylist, Hair & Makeup Artist, Performer, or Influencer.

STEPS:
1. Access the Registration Form: Visit the official WFC Prize website and navigate to the registration page.
2. Fill Out the Form: Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
3. Select Your Category: Choose the category that best represents your expertise and passion.
4. Submit Your Portfolio: Upload your best work to showcase your skills, creativity, and professional vision.

GUIDELINES:
Portfolio Requirements:
           • Designers: Include sketches, photos of designs, and detailed descriptions.
           • Models: Upload professional runway and editorial photos.
           • Photographers: Share high-resolution images or portfolio links.
           • Stylists: Provide mood boards and photos of styled looks.
           • Hair & Makeup Artists: Include before-and-after photos or portfolio links.
           • Performers: Submit demo reels or performance videos.
           • Rising Influencer: Submit content portfolios showcasing engagement and reach, including examples of campaigns, collaborations, storytelling posts, and engagement metrics.
File Size: Maximum of 10 MB per file.
Naming Convention: Use [Category]_[YourName]_[EntryNumber].jpg/pdf format.

DEADLINE:
March 12, 2025

Even if you miss the first challenge, you can still participate starting with the second challenge!

 

CRAFT YOUR PORTFOLIO

2. INITIAL SCREENING
Our expert panel will evaluate all submitted portfolios to ensure alignment with the competition’s standards. Portfolios will be assessed on creativity, originality, and technical proficiency, tailored to the specific expectations of each category.

CRITERIA:
Creativity: Innovative ideas, unique designs, or impactful content.
Originality: Distinct personal style, vision, and approach that sets the participant apart.
Technical Skill: Professional expertise and execution relevant to the chosen category, such as craftsmanship for designers, engagement metrics for influencers, or storytelling for photographers.

OUTCOME:
Advancement: Selected participants will advance to the next stage, receiving instructions for payment and confirmation.
Feedback: Those not selected will receive constructive feedback designed to help refine their skills and prepare for future opportunities.

3. PAYMENT AND CONFIRMATION
Once your portfolio is approved, confirm your participation by completing the registration payment. This step ensures your spot in the competition and grants you access to all subsequent stages, including the exclusive participant platform.

STEPS:
1. Confirmation Email: Receive an email with a personalized payment link.
2. Complete Payment: Pay the €39 registration fee using the link provided.
3. Access Platform: After payment, gain exclusive access to the competition platform, where you can start earning engagement points and preparing for the challenges.

GUIDELINES:
Payment Methods: Secure options include credit/debit cards and PayPal.
Deadline: Complete payment by March 12, 2025 to secure your spot.
Refund Policy: Payments are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances.

Voting System: Gather audience votes to boost your standing in public voting phases, contributing to your overall score.

• Mentorship & Resources: Access guidance, tips, and workshops from industry experts to refine your skills and enhance your submissions.

EMBRACE THE CHALLENGES

5. THEMED CHALLENGES
Participate in a series of exciting, themed challenges tailored to your category, designed to test versatility, creativity, and technical skills. These challenges encourage participants to think outside the box and push the boundaries of their craft.

DETAILS:
Themes: Challenges focus on innovative topics like sustainability, avant-garde, cultural fusion, and emerging trends.
Duration: Each challenge spans 12 days of submissions, followed by 2 days for public voting and 1 day for results announcement.
• Challenge Schedule:
• Challenge 1 Submission: February 1 – February 12, 2025
• Challenge 1 Voting: February 13 – February 14, 2025
• Challenge 2 Submission: February 15 – February 26, 2025
• Challenge 2 Voting: February 27 – February 28, 2025
• Challenge 3 Submission: March 1 – March 12, 2025
• Challenge 3 Voting: March 13 – March 14, 2025
Submissions: All entries must be uploaded via the Participant Platform, adhering to specified category guidelines.

EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following weighted criteria:
Creativity & Innovation (30%): Unique approaches, groundbreaking ideas, and inventive solutions.
Relevance to Theme (25%): Clear alignment with and interpretation of the specific challenge theme.
Technical Proficiency (25%): Mastery of your craft, whether in design, photography, styling, performance, or content creation.
Execution & Presentation (20%): Professional quality, visual appeal, and cohesiveness of your submission.

SCORING SYSTEM:
• Challenge 1: 100 points (Creativity: 30, Theme: 25, Skill: 25, Presentation: 20)
• Challenge 2: 150 points (Creativity: 60, Theme: 25, Skill: 25, Presentation: 30)
• Challenge 3: 200 points (Creativity: 60, Theme: 25, Skill: 25, Presentation: 40)
• Participation Bonus: 50 points for completing all challenges.

MENTORSHIP & RESOURCES:
Participants will gain access to:
• Exclusive Resources: Industry insights, templates, and best practices tailored to each category.
• Workshops: Live or recorded sessions covering tips, tools, and strategies to excel in challenges.
• Mentorship: Direct guidance from professionals who provide feedback and career advice.

TAKE CENTER STAGE

6. ADVANCE TO THE GRAND FINALE
The journey culminates at the Grand Finale, held during INTERNATIONAL Fashion Weeks Amsterdam in May 2025. The top participants from the challenges, representing their respective regions, will compete for global recognition and prestigious prizes.

HIGHLIGHTS:
•  Regional Finalists: Participants who excel in the challenges and secure top spots in their regions will advance to Amsterdam.
•  Networking Opportunities: Engage with top designers, influencers, and industry professionals. Build connections that could redefine your career trajectory.
•  Industry Exposure: Present your work to an esteemed panel of judges and an international audience. Gain unparalleled visibility across the fashion world.
•  Career Opportunities: Compete for life-changing opportunities, including mentorships, partnerships, and exclusive awards.
•  Live Challenges: Finalists will face live challenges tailored to their categories, adding an exciting dimension to the competition.

REGIONAL FINALS:
From April 1–20, 2025, regional finalists will be selected to advance to the Grand Finale. The announcement of global finalists will take place on April 21, 2025.

GRAND FINALE IN AMSTERDAM:
•  Dates: May 2025
The event will be held during INTERNATIONAL Fashion Weeks Amsterdam, amplifying exposure and prestige for finalists.
•  Live Performances & Runways: Finalists will present their work or perform live.
•  Themed Showcases: Categories such as design, photography, and performance will have bespoke presentations to highlight their talents.
•  Award Ceremony: Winners in each category will be celebrated during the grand closing event, marking their entry into global fashion prominence.
